Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
1 John 3:18
Promise on Parsons began in August of 2019, mimicking the Hope on High ministry which was started by the Church of the Nazarene in Obetz and has been led by Tarry Summers for nearly a decade.
Hope On High reaches out to our homeless in the Columbus area. This ministry serves food prepared in homes the day of the event from a modified R.V. Meals are served in the old K-Mart parking lot at S. High Street and Williams Road.
The Promise on Parsons ministry aims to provide a free meal to those in need on the South End of Columbus. Our parishes currently have four teams, preparing and serving meals every first and fifth Friday of the month. Since starting the program on Parsons, we have reached out to several other churches in the area and within one month, we were able to schedule meals to be served on EVERY Friday.
Meals served on the first and fifth Friday's are prepared at St. Ladislas, and served in the park behind the John R. Maloney Health Center at Parsons Avenue and Reeb Avenue.
To volunteer please contact the Corpus Christi & St. Ladislas office or Tom Rock.
